Julian at home

We have a lot to catch up on! Here are a few pictures and movies of what Julian has been up to lately. More to come soon...

Julian was excited about harvesting the carrots, tiny though they were.

He likes to build towers. Especially Eiffel Towers.

We think he looks like his cousin Milo in this one.

Animals on parade!

We all live...

in a yellow submarine. Pop star in the making.

We had two feet of snow at the end of October, and had to make an emergency run to REI for new snowboots.

Grandpa Jim

We all miss Julian's Grandpa Jim, who left us on August 28th. We hope that with these pictures and movies, and others like them, Julian will have something to remember him by. They sure did seem to be two of a kind.

August

In August, it was relaxing time.

It was tennis time.

It was Grandma and Grandpa time.

It's always dino time.

It was ABC time.

It was music time.

It was bicycle time.

And as always, it was frolic time.

Tour de Boulder

Julian has been practicing his riding on the back patio. But yesterday, he decided to go forth into the wider world.

(By the way, those are Mommy's bike gloves that he insists on wearing. We may have to get him his own eventually.)

July Julian

Julian had a good month! His Aunt Chris just stopped by to see him, and left him with some new table settings:

Earlier in the month, Julian had a big breakthrough with his spelling. He also now knows that octagons say "S-O-P STOP" and that "N-O" spells his favorite word, but first he had to start with the basics:

These days, Julian has a lot to say:

Though when he needs to be, he can be a man of few words.

Summer fun

Julian is having a great summer, filled with wonderful summery things.

We went to a bbq at a friend's house, and we brought ice cream sandwiches:

And of course, there was baseball:

Julian's Great-uncle Dan and Great-aunt Barbara came to visit!

We went to a July 3 Toddler Trike/Bike/Wagon Parade, organized by Lyra's mom:

We celebrated the 4th of July by playing baseball:

On Sunday, we went to the zoo with Julia. It was a tremendously successful expedition!
