The next big thing

Julian's adventure

Back in November, we took Julian on an adventure. The next day he dictated the entire tale to his babysitter, Priscilla, who wrote it down while he illustrated the story. It is completely accurate, except for the cheeseburger, which was actually a cheese sandwich.

Legoland

There comes a time in a little boy's life when he has to leave behind the snow and the ice of home, and set out on a journey to a fabled land of warmth and sun and stackable plastic blocks. A land called Legoland.


Julian was pleased to discover a playground right outside his hotel door, where he could play on the alligator.


But soon we got him packed up and ready to go to the park.


Legoland California revolves around Miniland USA, where everything is made (of course) of Legos. Julian in Lego DC:

There were lots of other things to do, too. Julian fed the crocodiles,


and fed the lions,


and fed himself.



Julian rode in a little boat,


on a little train,


and in a little Jeep.


But way over and beyond anything and everything else, Julian rode on airplanes. Lots and lots and lots of airplanes.






And of course he found thoughtful gifts for his friends.



Overall, an excellent time was had by all.

Christmas 2009

Julian had a wonderful Christmas! His Grandma Paula came to visit for a few days and we all had a great time. Here are some pictures and movies from Christmas morning:

Julian's cousins Alice and Zella like him a lot. He likes them too. (For those who don't know, Zella is the one with short hair, Alice's is longer.)

Out and about with friends

Today, Julian is two and a half years old. He's one eighth of the way to twenty!
