Julian dans le jardin

Julian likes to be outside. He spends a great deal of time on the patio, and he loves to help out with the garden.

He knows that a gardener needs a good sun hat.


He pulls weeds,


waters the plants with the hose


and with a watering can,


and enjoys harvesting some nice fresh produce.

It's an election year, and Julian would like to say a few words to support his candidacy.



His platform strongly emphasizes the environment.







But he also stands for a firm national defense.





So vote Julian — he'll keep the wheels of government turning!



At least, as long as he's awake.

Incredible wildlife drama

Tonight on Animal Planet: for the first time captured on film, live in its natural habitat, the wild Julian.



This shadowy creature of legend is mostly an inhabitant of the hard and unforgiving floor, but when it finds itself in a softer environment, playful hijinks unusually ensue.



Julians do many things instinctually, but they also learn essential adaptive behavior from semi-wild Cousin Milos.



Incredibly, the wild Julian is able to domesticate other creatures, in particular, the non-wild Rocking Horse.



And after a long day playing and feeding at the watering hole, the wild Julian can often be found sitting near the remains of its meal, drifting off into a safe and well-earned sleep.

Places to go

We all took a trip to Portland to see his aunt, uncle and cousins. In the hotel, he had a little corner where he liked to hang out.



There were so many toys at their place, it was super exciting.



But even better than toys was meeting his new role model, Cousin Milo!




But Portland isn't the only destination in his travels. As you can see, he also likes to go to the Home Depot.

Today is Julian's first birthday!!!

It's been an incredible year, and our life with Julian just keeps getting better. Happy birthday, sweet boy, we love you very much!

Toddler!

Julian first took a few steps a week ago Monday, but then put his new skill away for a while. Today, though, his ability just exploded.


In case you are worried, he totally came up laughing from that one. :)
